“DUST”: Rapid Fire Filmmaking with a DSLR

Dust is on You Tube after about a week from production to completion. Filmmakers Anthony Cava and Nicholas Scarpino shot with a DSLR camera for a competition that required use of the same six lines of dialogue. They produced this western now playing after a week of editing, color finishing, sound mix, and some After Effects touch up work.
We used Final Cut Pro color compositing techniques to emulate the skip bleach laboratory process that leaves the silver in the negative or the print.
I like the looks we achieved and I really admire the spirit of the filmmakers who worked at a lightning pace.
